Bottle Cap CoasterThis is a featured page

Bottle Cap Coaster - The Crafty LibrarianThis bright and simple coaster is a great Grandparent's Day gift. I adapted this idea from an article in "Pack-O-Fun magazine, but I don't have the month or year. My apologies.

Materials:
7 Bottle Caps. These should be the flat caps that don't screw on the bottle. Milk and orage juice often have this kind of cap.
Craft Foam
Glue stick (not school glue)

Time: 15 minutes

Method: 1) Collect your bottle caps.
2) Cut a rounded flower shape with 6 petals. Use your bottle caps as a template to draw a pattern on think cardboard. There should be a 1/4" edge around the caps when they are glued into place.
3) Cut two leaf shapes.
4) Glue the two leaf shaps to the underside of the flower.
5) Glue the flat sides of the milk caps to the flower shape.
6) Keep flat until it dries.
