This is a tried and true craft that kids love and that can be made as simply or as extravagantly as you desire!

Materials: Pom poms in various colors.
Google eyes
Yarn
Elmers Glue-All
Scissors
Pencils. I used the very cheap little golf pencils for the children.

Time: 15 minutes

Method: 1) Choose your pom pom. If you want to make your pencil topper look like you, choose something roughly like your skin tone. I am not pink, and others are not black, but pom poms come in bags of mixed colors. You may want to avoid the whole skin tone problem, and make them in blue.
2) Glue your pom pom to the top of your pencil. You do not have to remove the eraser for it to stick. Hold it tightly for a few minutes.
3) Finish the face. Add google eyes and some cut pieces of yarn for the hair and mouth.
4) Voila!
